Child therapy
Are you worried about your child? Have you seen or been told that he/she does something strange? Does he/she move a lot and you suspect that he/she has ADD? Does he/she have an eating disorder? Does he/she not play with the other children? Is he/she very shy or does he/she barely speak?
Child development is a process of constant change. Being a parent is one of the most difficult tasks human beings have to face, and it is normal to find yourself in situations where you don’t know how to act or what the best option is for your child. In these cases, psychological counseling can be of great help.
How do you know if a child needs help? Children are not capable of expressing their suffering in the same way that we adults do, so many times there are symptoms that warn us about it: speech difficulties, eating problems, introversion and shyness, separation anxiety, low school performance, lack of motivation, hyperactivity, among others.
If you notice that your child has any of these symptoms, it is likely that something is happening to him/her and that is his/her way of telling you. Fortunately, children are very flexible, and early treatment can help a lot. As with any illness, waiting around will only make the situation worse and subsequently make the change cost more sessions or become irreversible.
